  Support for Sacha Dench, on her world record attempt.

Sydney Project divers along with the Australian Free Diving Team, have been training to support Australian record holder Free Diver Sacha Dench, on her attempt to dive and penetrate a wreck in 50 Metres, of Long Reef in Sydney.
The Team is set for the attempt on 29th May, and will include a 20 member team, with various tasks and skills. Team will include four Still Photrographers, four Videographers, and safety divers both free diving, Open circuit divers, and Rebreather divers.
Deep Six Diving Boat Hunter Skippered by Stuart Bell will be the main platform, with support of One World skippered by Lewis Gavin, as well as a private vessel carrying the Photographers.
All results along with an article will be published in the Australian Geographic Magazine, and images witha story will be posted on Sydney Project website and Free Diving Project, please have a look in the Links pages for the URL.

Update: Sacha Dench Dives to 44 Metres - 7-June-2004 @ 2:41:15 PM

Weather finally gave us a brake for the attempt, and clear water allowed for filming and photography to go a head on Saturday June 5th on the Wreck of the Cooloolie, laying in 48 Metres of Long
Sacha descended to 44 Metres on 4 different dives using weights to get down, and swim up only using a monofin.
Sacha Has appeared this morning on Network Channel Nine Today Show, with footage of the dive and support divers.
A full report will be posted shortly, along with Images. In the mean while low quality Images have been posted.
Sydney Project member and Skipper Stuart Pole Bell was in control of Hunter a 36 FT Steber, was used as the main platform, with support of other 3 independant vessels, to carry support divers.
