When you talk about ship wrecks the term “bringing it back” one would assume I’m talking about artifacts that divers dream on recovering. But no, what I’m talking about is bringing back the wreck back to life in a totally different way. Read The FULL Story.... |

It started innocently enough, as these things normally do, I was just chatting to Paul Garske on Barry Hallet’s boat returning from one of the Long Reef wrecks when he mentions a new wreck down south that hasn’t been dived before and would I be interested? A couple of email exchanges, a few forms to join the Sydney Project, an initiation that involved a goat and a tank of heliox and I am on my way to Bermagui for the October Long Weekend. As a little kid I sat and watched Jacque Cousteau films on TV, and marveled at the wonders of the ocean, and the cool stuff that the Calypso crew were doing. I guess I’m not the only one who was dreaming of being one of these guys, going to wild places and doing these cool things. Little did I know that this dream one day would become a reality, and I would have a chance to do some of this cool stuff. Read The FULL Story.... |
