The Sydney Project Dive Team are a diverse group of dedicated divers who invite you to become a member and share the experience and adventure of Underwater Exploration. By becoming a member you will help support the Aims and Charter of The Sydney Project Association and Diving Members will have the opportunity to join in social, skill building and exploration dives organised the Project. Initial Membership is only $100.00 and you need only to complete the Membership, Medical Statement and Liability Waiver & Release Forms, attach the required documentation and forward them to the Sydney Project at 2825 Old Northern Road, Glenorie NSW 2157. We will then contact you and, depending on the type of membership, arrange for your orientation to The Sydney Project protocols.

Bio:

Richard is an experienced technical diver and instructor trainer based in Australia, and has trained many of Sydney Project divers.

Richard was Diving Safety Officer on the two initial AE2 expeditions in Turkey to document and dive the WW1 Australian Submarine AE2 along with Dr Mark Spencer, another Sydney Project Member, and was a member of the first Mixed Gas expedition to the Pearse Resurgence in New Zealand in 1998.  He has dived extensively in the Caves of Jenolan and the Wrecks around Sydney.

He began teaching Nitrox is 1991 and started diving Trimix is 1994 and has logged in excess of 1500 dives over 40m and over 250 Trimix dives over 60m.  He has been an Instructor with TDI since its formation in Australia in 1994 and an Instructor Trainer since 1998.

Richard is also the founder of the OZTeK Diving Technology Conferences and was instrumental in bringing together Australian and International Explorers for the 1999, 2000, 2002, 2005 & 2007 Conferences.

Though not actively participating in Deep 100m+ Expedition Diving Richard remains a strong supporter of the Sydney Project.
